Too Blessed to be Stressed

or Too Stressed To be Blessed?

Which best describes your life?  Your world?  Your home and family life?  Your finances?

Just Three Things a Person Needs to be Truly Happy

According to a Swahili Proverb and a quote from Tom Bodett, there are just three things a person needs to be truly happy in this world:

1.  Someone something to love

2.  Something to do

3.  Something to hope for

1199. Furaha inahitaji cha kufanya, cha kupenda na cha kutumaini.  EM F10.
Happiness requires something to do, something to love and something to hope for.  “Happiness is not mere resting and laughing. Happiness comes from working to your satisfaction, loving others and having hope for a better life” – EM.  http://swahiliproverbs.afrst.illinois.edu/contentment.html

“They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.”   https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/132967-they-say-a-person-needs-just-three-things-to-be

Who am I to disagree?  Humans are made to be loved and to be productive.  When we are loved and productive we flourish.  Just think about the people you know – those who are in active, loving relationships, it’s visible, they look happier, healthier and less stressed.  Those who are productive, they have more energy, more life in them, more excitement in their lives.

And what about hope?  Brings to mind my favourite scripture:

Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version (NIV)  11 For I know the plansA)” data-cr=”#cen-NIV-19647A”> I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Hope drives us, inspires us, creates a feeling of optimism.  If we are hopeful, we are more willing to take action, expecting a positive outcome.  Hope makes us braver, encourages us, because we anticipate success.

Someone or Something to Love

Ok, I concede, this is often easier said that done.  But if we combine hope and love and approve love optimistically, love is can be a beautiful thing – adding to our lives and creating a life that is Too Blessed to Be Stressed.  I encourage you though, you don’t need a special someone to love in a typical romantic love situation – how about reaching out to the people around you?  In children’s homes or retirement villages?  There are many, many people in the world who hunger for company, attention and yes, who knows, a relationship which starts here could become one of affection – in the purest sense of the word, like biological family.

Something to Do

There is the expression “Do what you love and the money will follow” – I am not so sure I agree with the expression but I do agree that you should be doing something you love.  Whether it is in your work or your home life.  We should all just do something, get productive, contribute our little bit to the world.  It is good for our psyche, for our health, for our loved ones, and for our community.

Something to Hope For

If you plant a seed it the ground, you hope it will grow – produce colour and beauty or perhaps something to eat.  This is something to look forward to, something to anticipate, something to enjoy!

Too Blessed to Be Stressed!

or

Too Stressed To Be Blessed!

I believe it is a choice.  We need to decide to go after these three things (or others if that will make you happier) but the choice is ours.

So what am I doing in all three categories?

1.  Someone / Something to love – I have my family, who I absolutely love.  I also have my furbabies – sometimes they are the easiest to love, just don’t tell anyone I said that.

2.  Something to do – I have an awesome Affiliate Marketing online business which I am growing and developing.  It not only keeps me productive but also creative and inspired.  Plus, it gives me hope which brings me to point number 3

3.  Something to hope for – my goal is to live a life of geographic and financial freedom so that I can make a difference in the lives of others.  Follow me and see how I am doing this – It is such an exciting journey, definitely one worth sharing!  https://latebloomerwealthyaffiliate.com
